Building the Future of Nerve Health

A nerve-focused therapeutic platform combining localized AAV delivery, clinical translation and a growing portfolio of programs across rare and large-market peripheral nerve disorders.

Nervosave is developing a new generation of therapies and treatments designed to act directly within peripheral nerves. Our lead program, NVO-101, is intended to establish the first clinical proof of the platform and unlock broader applications in neuropathic pain, auditory dysfunction and peripheral neuropathies.

Preclinical data presented on this site. Results may not translate directly to humans.
The Challenge

A Large and Growing Unmet Need
in Nerve Health

Millions of people worldwide are affected by nerve disorders, chronic nerve pain, intensive digital use and age-related hearing loss. Current treatments are often insufficient, symptomatic or invasive, leaving a major unmet need.

Person walking with a cane

CMT and other peripheral neuropathies

2.5 millionpatients worldwide with CMT
6–8%of adults in the US live with peripheral neuropathies (~20 million people)
50%require walking aids

Peripheral neuropathies, including CMT, cause progressive loss of sensation and motor function, leading to disability and reduced quality of life.

Person holding a painful knee

Neuropathic pain

~7–10%of the global population is affected by neuropathic pain (~600 million people)
Up to 50%of patients have inadequate pain relief with current treatments

Neuropathic pain can be chronic, severe and significantly impact daily life, sleep and mental health.

Esports player at a computer

Esports and intensive computer users

37%of professional players reported hand, wrist or finger pain in surveyed esports populations
73%report overall pain in surveyed esports populations
~500 millionpeople worldwide are intensive players (gamers)
~3.5 billionpeople worldwide use computers and digital devices

Intensive and repetitive use of computers, smartphones and gaming devices can lead to upper-limb nerve strain and chronic symptoms.

Older person in profile

Hearing and ageing

~10–20%of people with normal hearing tests show signs of hidden hearing loss (reduced neural function)
~25%of people over 60 experience a significant degree of hearing loss (>1.5 billion people worldwide)

Hidden hearing loss and age-related decline can affect communication, cognitive function and quality of life, with limited options today to prevent or restore auditory nerve function.

From rare neuropathies to chronic pain, nerve compression and nerve ageing.
The Platform

Local Delivery.
Long-Lasting Nerve Biology

Nervosave combines a standard AAV9 vector with ultrasound-guided perineural administration to deliver therapeutic DNA directly to Schwann cells within peripheral nerves.

The objective is to turn the nerve into a localized therapeutic biofactory while limiting systemic exposure.

AAV9 delivered locally around the nerve targets Schwann cells
Mechanism of action — perineural AAV9 administration and Schwann-cell transduction
01
Ultrasound-guided perineural injection
Perineural injection is already used clinically in regional anaesthesia and provides direct access to peripheral nerves.
02
Standard AAV9 vector
The therapeutic construct is packaged in an established AAV9 vector.
03
Schwann-cell DNA delivery
Following local administration, AAV9 delivers DNA into Schwann cells surrounding peripheral axons.
04
Local therapeutic biofactory
Transduced Schwann cells produce the therapeutic payload inside the targeted nerve.
NVO-101 — siRNA strategyNVO-801 — locally produced therapeutic peptide
05
Long-lasting local benefit
The objective is sustained therapeutic activity within the nerve with limited off-target exposure.
Why Local Delivery Matters

Five Critical
Platform Advantages

01
Direct Schwann-cell targeting
AAV9 efficiently transduces Schwann cells — the biological foundation of the platform.
02
Low systemic exposure
Local administration is designed to limit unnecessary vector exposure outside the targeted nerve.
03
Potential for redosing
Localized treatment and a potentially lower systemic immune response may create opportunities for repeat intervention.
04
Long-duration activity
Preclinical studies have shown prolonged activity after a single administration.
05
Clinically practical access
Ultrasound-guided perineural injection builds on a procedure already used routinely in regional anaesthesia.

Lead Program

NVO-101
The First Clinical Value Engine

NVO-101 is Nervosave's most advanced therapeutic program and is designed to provide the first human validation of the local nerve-delivery platform.

Charcot-Marie-Tooth disease type 1A — CMT1A

CMT1A is caused by duplication of the PMP22 gene, leading to abnormal Schwann-cell biology and progressive peripheral nerve dysfunction.

NVO-101 is designed to locally produce an siRNA specifically targeting PMP22 to reduce pathological PMP22 expression in Schwann cells following perineural administration.

Current development foundation
  • Validated in disease-relevant rodent models
  • Studied in larger species including sheep
  • FDA Type B meeting completed
  • Clinical team identified for a planned investigator-initiated study in China
  • Development path designed to progress from human proof of concept toward an IND-ready package
NVO-101 is not only a product candidate. It is intended to provide the first clinical validation of the broader Nervosave platform.

Beyond NVO-101

From Clinical Proof
to a Broad Nerve-Health Platform

NVO-101 is the starting point, not the end point.

A successful first clinical validation would establish the technological and regulatory foundation for a broader portfolio addressing much larger patient populations.

01 — NVO-101
First Clinical Validation
Rare neuropathy · CMT1A

The most advanced program is intended to validate:

  • efficient local nerve targeting
  • durable therapeutic activity
  • limited systemic exposure
  • clinically practical perineural administration
02 — Care-Esport + NVO-801
Build the Nerve-Care Model
Neuropathic pain · High-volume populations

Once the platform is clinically validated, Nervosave intends to expand into common, high-volume nerve disorders through an integrated care pathway.

Detection → Evaluation → Prediction → Prevention → Conservative treatment → Advanced treatment

NVO-801 represents the advanced therapeutic component for severe, persistent or refractory localized neuropathic pain, while CARE-ESPORT additionally provides a clinical and data layer for patient identification, monitoring and intervention.

03 — NVO-701
Auditory Nerve & Ageing
Future program

A future program targeting hearing-related nerve dysfunction, trauma-related damage, chemically induced dysfunction and age-associated auditory decline.

04 — NVO-301 / NVO-302
Broader Peripheral Neuropathies
Future programs

Future programs designed to extend the nerve-focused strategy into additional peripheral neuropathies and larger patient populations.

We start with an advanced rare-disease asset to generate the first clinical validation, then use that validation to unlock much larger global markets.
Clinical, Data & Performance Platform

Care-Esport
A New Model for Nerve Care and Performance

CARE-ESPORT is designed to connect real-world patient access, quantitative assessment, nerve-performance monitoring and therapeutic intervention within a single nerve-health pathway.

Professional esports players represent an ideal initial population: they are exposed to intensive and repetitive upper-limb demands, depend on high levels of sensorimotor performance, and generate highly measurable functional outcomes.

CARE-ESPORT therefore aims not only to identify and manage nerve dysfunction, but also to understand how peripheral nerve health can be preserved — and potentially improved — to support sustained performance.

Step 01
Detect
Identify early nerve-related symptoms, functional changes and signs of declining nerve performance.
Step 02
Evaluate
Combine clinical assessment with objective measures of nerve function, sensorimotor performance and real-world activity.
Step 03
Predict
Develop models to identify individuals at increased risk of persistent dysfunction or performance decline.
Step 04
Prevent
Introduce ergonomic, behavioural and conservative interventions before functional deterioration or irreversible nerve damage develops.
Step 05
Improve Performance
Use individualized monitoring, rehabilitation and nerve-health interventions to optimize function, resilience and recovery in high-demand populations.
Step 06
Treat the Nerve
For severe, persistent or refractory dysfunction, provide advanced local therapeutic intervention targeting the nerve itself.
Esports is the entry cohort. The broader opportunity is to move from treating nerve dysfunction to preserving and improving nerve performance across much larger technology-intensive and ageing populations.
